Obituary: PHYLLIS SOMERSETTE McCLELLAND
Phyllis Somersette McClelland of Wilmington died Monday, December 27, 1999 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Shallotte, NC on May 29, 1935, daughter of the late Andrew Jackson and Katherine Somersette.
Mrs. McClelland was a member of Pine Valley United Methodist Church. She was affiliated with UCB Bank for fifteen-years; and employed for seven years with Prudential Carolina Real Estate. '
Surviving are her husband, Roy Lee McClelland of the home; two sons, Steven Roy McClelland and wife, Stacy Key of Wilmington;
Gregory Andrew McClelland and wife, Tina of Wilmington; three grandchildren, Jade Alexa McClelland, Katherine Elizabeth McClelland, and Hope Morgan McClelland; five sisters, Kathleen Somersette, Lucille Howard, Bertha Wonderly, and Victorra Grissett, all of Wilmington, and Vera Elsea of Jacksonville, FL; one brother, Jack Somersette of Wilmington; a special niece, Sybil Russ of Wilmington; and two very special friends, Allene Brown, and Mae High.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 30, 1999 at Andrews Mortuary, Valley Chapel by Rev. Eckie Lancaster. Interment will follow at Oleander Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Andrews Mortuary, Valley Chapel, 4108 S. College Rd.
