Obituary: SHIRLEY FALES McALLISTER
Shirley Fales McAllister, 69, of Wilmington, died Wednesday, August 31, 2005, at Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Life Care Center.
Mrs. McAllister was born May 28, 1936, in Wilmington, daughter of the late Clarence Willard Fales and Lottie Mae Shepard Fales. Her husband, Donald Smith McAllister, also preceded her in death.
A lifelong resident of Wilmington, Shirley was a devoted mother and grandmother who also loved gardening and her pets. All who met her appreciated her kind and gracious nature.
She is survived by her three children, Donald Steven McAIlister and Gregg Bryan McAllister, both of Wilmington, and Lori Ann McAllister Kirkpatrick and husband Robert of Hampstead, NC; four grandchildren, Robert Christopher Kirkpatrick, Corey Matthew Kirkpatrick and Alex Brandon Kirkpatrick, all of Hampstead, and Jobi Quinn McAllister of Wilmington.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, September 5, 2005, at Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel with Rev. Sweetie Francis, officiating.
The family will receive friends for the hour prior to the service from 1 p.m. - 2 p.m. Interment will follow the service in Oleander Memorial Gardens.
