Obituary: MRS. ELIZABETH 'LIBBY' HOBBS HENEGAR


Mrs. Elizabeth "Libby" Hobbs Henegar, 70, of Millington, TN, and Currie, NC, passed away Friday, October 28th, 2005.

She is survived by five daughters, Eva Moore and husband Glenn of Currie, NC, Shirley Swift and husband James of Millington, TN, Billie Gipson of Wilmington, Edith Brown and husband Stacy of Currie, NC, Patrica Middlebrook and husband Brandon of Memphis, TN; and one son, Walter Henegar and fiancee Tammy Rhuback of Columbia, SC; her brother, Chester Hobbs of Kelly, NC; and sister, Pat Amamn of Wilmington, to whom she was affectionately known as "Sister;" and her caretaker, Sharon Horton, whom she dearly loved; 14 grandchildren; and 10 greatgrandchildren.

Mrs. Henegar was preceded in death by her mother, Eula Carter Hobbs; father, Walter Jackson Hobbs; brother, James "Jackie" Hobbs; and a granddaughter, Cindy Moore Parker. Libby was a lover of people and life. She was known as Granny to her many grandchildren and loved baseball. She spent many hours watching and cheering her favorite team, the Atlanta Braves.

The polio which crippled her as a small child took her to meet her heavenly Father, from Post Polio Syndrome.

The' family will receive friends from 7 p.m.-9 p.m. Monday, October 31, 2005, at the Oleander Chapel of Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Home, and at other times at the home of Glenn and Eva Moore of Currie, NC.

Funeral Services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 1st, 2005, at Coble Ward- Smith Oleander Chapel, with interment to follow at Prospect Cemetery, Reverend Vic Potter officiating.
