Obituary: MR. JERALD WALTER (JERRY) SMITH
Mr. Jerald Walter (Jerry) Smith of 4828 Jessica Lane, Castle Hayne, N.C., died Wednesday, July 14, 1993, in New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
He was born on April 23, 1936, the son of the late John Walter and Golah Mills Smith. Mr. Smith was a member of the Coastal Community Vineyard, and was retired from Federal Paperboard, Riegelwood Operations. Mr. Smith was a loving husband and father of two.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Barbara Rivenbark Smith of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Debbie Lewis and husband, Ricky, and Mrs. Chris Steger and husband, Bobby, and grandchildren, Cameron and Samuel Steger, all of Castle Hayne, N.C. Also surviving Mr. Smith are two sisters, Mrs. Diane Satterfield of Hampstead, N.C., and Mrs. Betty Jo Marshall of Newark, Delaware.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 17, 1993, in Andrews Mortuary, Market Street Chapel, by Rev. Steve Mattis and Rev. Hornce Hilton. Interment will follow in Oleander Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be nephews of Mr. Smith.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 7 to 8 p.m. in Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel.
