Obituary: EMILY GILBERT BLAKE
Emily A. Gilbert Blake, age 61, a resident of Beavercreek, Ohio, for the last 7 years, passed away Thursday, July 10, 1997, at Wright Patterson Medical Center, Dayton, Ohio.
She was born in Wilmington, NC, the daughter of Grover Cleveland and Emma Lee (Rich) Gilbert. She was preceded in death by her husband, Col. Gerald A. Blake (USAF-Ret.).
Two sons survive: Geoffrey A. of Pasadena, CA, and Mark A. of Wilmington, NC; and a grandson, Garrett A. Blake.
Mrs. Blake was a graduate of New Hanover High School and Meredith College. She travelled widely for 38 years of marriage but Wilmington was always home.
The graveside memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 26, at Oakdale Cemetery, Wilmington.
