REV. DONALD RAY HUGHES, SR.
Rev. Donald Ray Hughes, Sr., 82, of Wilmington, went home to be with his Lord and savior, Monday, January 1, 2018.
He was born June 1, 1935, in Wilmington, to the late Oliver Hubert Hughes and Emma Matthew Hughes.
For 31 years, he was a Southern Baptist minister and also retired from Daniels Construction Co.
Donald is survived by his wife, Vivian Dicksey Hughes; son, Donald Ray Hughes,Jr. (Morgan); daughter, Cathy Hughes Bordeaux; granddaughters, Jennifer Jackson (Kent), Kelly Farnham (Colby), Emily Hughes and Brittney Hughes; great-grandchildren, Taylor Applewhite, Shelby Applewhite, Madison Farnham, Sophia Hughes, Cameron Farnham, Katelyn Jackson and Zachary Jackson; brothers-in-law, Andrew Fennel Dicksey (Peggy) and Douglas Ray Dicksey (Susan).
