Obituary: MR. CLARENCE ROY (BUBBA) PURSLEY, JR.
Mr. Clarence Roy (Bubba) Pursley, Jr. of 4221 Thistle Drive, Portsmouth, Virginia died August 22, 1985 at his resldence.
He was born in Columbia, S.C. on July 10, 1936, the son of Clarence Roy and Eleanor Sellers Pursley, Sr.
Mr. Pursley graduated from New Hanover High School and later moved to Portsmouth, Va. where he operated the C. Roy Pursley Company, Inc. In Norfolk, Virginia.
Surviving are his parents, Clarence Roy and Eleanor Sellers Pursley of Wilmington; his wife, Mrs. Patricia Wayland Pursley of the home; two daughters, Miss Vickie Pursley of Portsmouth, Virginia and Miss Wyndham Pursley of Charlotte, N.C.; three sons, C. Roy Pursley III of Norfolk, Virginia, Eddy Pursley of Portsmouth, Va. and Jet Puckett of Charlotte, N.C.; one sister, Mrs. Betty Watson of Wilmington; and one brother, Bill. Pursley of Wilmington.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday morning at 11 a.m. at the graveside in Greenlawn Memorial Park by Rev. Stacy Wells.
The family will receive friends Sunday evening 4 until 6 p.m. at Andrews Mortuary and at other times at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Jack (Betty) Watson 3528 Chalmers Drive. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O: Box 4894, Wilmington, N.C. 28406.
