Obituary: MR. ROBERT BONNIE SHAIN
Mr. Robert Bonnie Shain, 67, of Falls Church, VA, died Sunday, September 14, 2003.
Mr. Shain was born June 27, 1936, in Wilmington, the son of the late Sol and Mary Bronstein Shain.
Bonnie, as he was called in school, was a 1954 graduate of New Hanover High School, a graduate of NC State University in 1958, receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, and later received a Masters Degree from UCLA at Los Angeles, CA.
In California, he was employed with Douglas Aircraft. in 1966 he moved to the Washington, DC, area and was employed for many years with the Mitre Corp., a division of MiT, as a statistician and a researcher.
Survivors include his sister, Harriett Shain Evenson of Arlington, VA, and his brother, Jerome Shain of Wilmington.
Rabbi Robert Waxman will hold funeral services at 11 a.m. today, Wednesday, September 17,2003, at the graveside in B'Nai Israel Cemetery.
