Obituary: WILLIAM WELLINGTON STARNES
William Wellington Starnes, 53, of 610 Palmetto Street, Spartanburg, SC, died February 28, 1990, at his home.
He was the husband of Carol Doxey Starnes of the home and son of Mrs. James Wesley Starnes of Wilmington, NC. Also surviving are two sons , William Wellington Starnes, JR, and Stanford Doxey Starnes; a daughter, Caroline Carter Starnes, all of the home; three brothers, James Wesley Starnes, JR, of Wilmington, NC, Joseph Thomas Starnes of Greensboro, NC, and Charles Cole Starnes of Charlotte, NC; two sisters, Mrs. EC Anderson of Wilmington and Mrs. AH Schroetel of Springfield, VA.
Visitation will be 2 to 3 PM Friday at the Episcopal Church of the Advent in Spartanburg, with memorial services at 3PM at the church. Interment will be in the church Columbarium.
