Obituary: Barbara Ann Watkins Kirkman
Barbara Ann Watkins Kirkman, age 68 of Panama City, FL died Saturday, March 19, 2005.
She was born in Wilmington, NC on August 23, 1936, the daughter of Nora P. Watkins and the late Carl Thomas Watkins. Remembered is her son, Richard A. Kirkman, Jr. and daughter Tami Kirkman Vincent who preceded her in death.
Barbara was a member of Faith Family Christian Church in Panama City, Fl. She served as a teacher's aide in many areas while her husband was on active duty in the US Coast Guard. She was a member of the Elmyra Temple Daughters of the Nile, loved horseback riding and caring for her horses. She had a wonderful sense of humor.
Surviving are her husband of 52 years Richard Kirkman of Panama City, FL, her mother, Nora Pickett Watkins of Wilmington; one daughter, Ramona Goodrich and husband Thomas of Upper Marlboro, MD; one brother Carl Thomas Watkins, Jr. and wife Marie of Wilmington; two grandchildren, Michael Goodrich and Shannon McCrickard and one great-grandchild.
A funeral service will be held at Andrews Mortuary Valley Chapel, 4108 S. College Road, Wilmington at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 26, 2005. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
